Auditions for Advanced Summer Acting Camp

For high school actors in grades 9 to 12. Experience a professional-level performance tour while still in high school with this rigorous seven week summer camp! The Traveling Troupe offers challenges unlike any other teen theatre program. Rehearse a full-length Shakespeare play and then takes it on a two week tour by purple bus, camping and performing in beautiful outdoor theaters throughout Virginia. Please prepare a Shakespearean monologue (min. 14 lines). Wear comfortable clothes so you can move around. Auditions will include some improvisational games as well as cold readings from the play. Please familiarize yourself with the plot and characters of The Merry Wives of Windsor. If you have not registered in advance, the audition fee is $60 at the door. Bring a bagged lunch or dinner: we’ll have some snacks as well. The camp session will run June 18 - August 4.
