Barker’s highly-regarded annual adoption and foster care conference in the Washington, DC area offers the opportunity to hear from some of the nation’s leading adoption experts, as well as from all members of the adoption circle about their experiences with, and strategies for, managing issues and events throughout the adoption journey. Adopted persons, adoptive parents, birth parents and professionals are all welcome to attend this thought-provoking and actionable day-long event. Keynote is Michaela Pereira, an award-winning news anchor for CNN's morning show, New Day, as well as adoptee and advocate for adoptees, foster children and at risk youth.
