The American Horticultural Society's Board of Directors will hold its 23rd annual gala on Saturday, September 17, 2016. The gala will be held at The American Horticultural Society Headquarters at River Farm in Alexandria, Virginia. The theme of this year's gala will be "Celebrating the Gardens of Virginia: Enjoying the Beauty and Bounty of Earth" and the honored guest will be Dean Norton, the director of horticulture at George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens. The gala includes a formal dinner, live music, and a silent auction.Advance reservations only; tables for ten, and individual tickets are available. All proceeds from the gala benefit the stewardship of River Farm and the American Horticultural Society's outreach and educational programs.
