[/quote] Well, if you dare say on the real estate boards on this website that you can't afford a house or apartment close to the city that is big enough for a family, you will be berated for expecting to live in Arlington or Bethesda and told that you can "just move further out". But if you do that, you're stuck with a 2-hour commute each way, IN ADDITION to a mandatory lunch break (which was another hour a day when I worked in DC. No, we were not allowed to skip our 1 hour lunch break). So that's 13 hours a day of childcare to work your 40-hour-a-week job and commute. Which you would know if you were a parent in the DC area, and not an entitled teenager who thinks she's here to be fed, housed, and entertained, but doesn't want to do the childcare part of the deal.[/quote]
