Working less would make the economics worse, because if it takes 40 hours of childcare for me to cover 30 hours and a commute, it would take me 30 hours to cover 20, for example. Plus, I work when the kids are in school, at the school that they attend. So, for example, if I was able to leave at one, I'd be going home, getting the baby and putting him/her in the car to go back through carpool line. [/quote]
