Our current nanny is a live-out and she has to take public transport to get to our house. She spends an hour and a half each way. We were willing to offer live-in pretty much to save the nanny any grief about commuting. Unless the nanny also lives in Mclean (unlikely), getting there will take a fair amount of time. Live in would have meant she starts her day with the babies fresh, without being all aggravated about her commute. If that convenience means she's willing to work at a lower rate, that's welcome, but we don't expect that. We would be have been willing to pay the same rate regardless.[/quote]
