Right, and I understand that.  I was just asking MB to see if I would be payed for the hours, and she didn't say, "Next paycheck".  She just seemed upset by the question in general.[/quote]

It's totally understandable that you would want to know but I think it was just bad timing. I don't think your MB handled it the best way possible. As an MB I wouldn't have been upset by the question but then again not everyone handles stress well and she has some major stress going on. I would definitely not take her reaction to me she isn't going to pay you and I don't think I'd bring it up again immediately given her reaction the first time but maybe mention it to DB or wait until it is closer to your next paycheck.
