No one equated "hating" dogs with hating children, rather that people who are inclined to harm animals usually don't have a tough time making the leap to people. Do any psych research on animal abuse, it is one of the first and surest signs of sociopathy. If OP doesn't like the dog, she needs to talk to the family and have it gated in a section of the house that she does not use during the day.  Taking out your frustration on a helpless and harmless animal is truly a sign of some deeper disturbance. I'm a bit shocked OP even had the gall to post her actions. [/quote]
