Any intelligent person determines what is reasonable risk. When it comes to the basic safety of young children, that's when most adults give the most consideration, realizing that little children are at high risk. Some parents prefer to believe that parenting is no big deal, and, well, any one can do it, without much thought. Ok. Good luck to you, because I guess that's all some of you might have, IF you're lucky.
You really just don't get it. Those are the words of a sanctimonious moron. You would think morons would be more humble, but I guess not.
Why do you keep avoiding the issue at hand? Do you think parents bare any responsibility for the basic safety of their children?? Answer it.
Parents don't "bare" any responsibility for anything, PP. Anyway, this notion that small children are so vulnerable and parents should be on their guard always, with everyone, assumes the worst of human nature when in fact, 99% of the time, nannies - even if they aren't otherwise great at their job - treat the children well and protect them from harm. To suggest that parents should be suspicious of their nanny every time they have an odd interaction or she asks for a raise creates an atmosphere of distrust and anxiety that isn't productive or necessary. Go back to your bridge.
