Hi, we live in Chevy Chase, DC. It's seem like you need a housekeeper/nanny. We have four children, but our oldest only lives with us during the school year and spend the summer with his mom. Our house manger helps with drop offs/pick ups, laundry, vacuum, washing all five bathrooms, making all the beds, mopping, taking out the trash, dusting, dishes, packing for trips, and walking the dog. I take care of the food shopping and homework help with the children. That way I get to spend time with them. We give her a car to use, and a bank card for work. she works 7am-6pm mon-fri. She is the BEST! she will work with our family until mid May, if you are still looking for help, I can pass your email address to her. She has worked with us for four years.
Most people don't have more than 1-3 kids, so most nannies couldn't work with more children. I belong to several nanny groups. There are plenty of people who like to work with larger families, and while the first year of this family is a lot of work, the older children will be in school and more self-sufficient each year. This is not a nightmare, $50/hr job. OP, advertise the position for a reasonable rate and see who applies. You will almost definitely need to eliminate any "chores," at least until the twins are in all-day school, which means laundry and such will fall to you, but I bet you get plenty of applicants.
