I am the nanny in a 3 way share and this is our proposed plan. Share moves to largest house, and I move in. MB of largest house wfh and DB, who can not wfh is moving into a hotel. Babies are dropped at door, only to me, where I then change their clothes and wash them down before going into playroom. All supplies are kept at largest house where I wash and sanitize everything (literally) each night. No one is allowed anywhere but sleeping area and playroom. Share babies arrive and leave in 15min spans so no one is at the door at the same time. Hand washing for babies is every hour, for nanny is every 30 min (outside of diapers, food, etc). It’s basically as sterile an environment as possible. I’ve waived all overnight fees and will just get standard pay (even though my weeks will be up roughly 20hrs due to all of the extra cleaning at night). When it’s over, I’m taking an extra week off, paid, because I’m going to be wore out.
I'm sorry you sound like a doormat. In days there's going to be martial law, looting and God only knows what else. No way I would leave my children to care for some other child. Next time pay attention in your contract so in events like this you can stay home and still be paid
I am not a doormat, and this was *my* suggested plan. I work for infectious disease physicians -the very people who will treat YOU and your loved ones should you contract corona. I will get paid regardless of whether I stay home and self isolate or help my employers so they can continue working. I take immense pride in my work ethic.
