In your opinion. To others it would be a great schedule! There are essentially 3 hours during the day to accomplish personal tasks (during the week, rare for many!), and your day still ends before 5. Regardless, it's the schedule the nanny agreed to and should have no bearing on how well she does her job.

You’re missing the big picture, OP.  The dreadful schedule is getting you less quality applicants.

Not OP. Not at all.  Again, what a pointless response. And again, the schedule would be fine for many. Just not the spoiled (or fake?) DCUM nannies who think they should work from 8-4 and be paid $40/hr. [/quote]
