Except our rents are crazy (1200 for a house share, 1500 for a studio, etc) has is expensive so is good and the taxes are ridiculous.

Making 30/hr is just covering bills. Once taxes come out you on a 40 hr week you’re looking at 800-900/week. [/quote]

I’m in the valley as well and pay $1195 for a single. And I live in a semi good part of the valley in porter ranch, right down the street  from the university. When I was looking at apartments in Van Nuys they were so horrible but slightly cheaper singles. [/quote]
