[quote=Anonymous]OP here She has been with me for 3.25 years. She started at $300 from me and then went to $350 after 2 yrs. We are also generous with vacation time and bonuses. The other family started at $300 and she has only been with them for 1.25 yrs, so she hasnt gotten a raise from them. That salary is very consistent with our area. The nanny is interested in having a 3rd kid. She is happy and eager to take it on. The bigger 2 kids will be attending preschool in the fall and (thankfully) are happy and easy toddlers. The baby will give her continuity with a new family after our kids leave and will give her extra income throughout the rest of this year. We are giving her a triple stroller. She works 36 hrs a week with half days on Fridays. She really likes this schedule and with other families who would pay more, she'd have to work longer hours and could not get home to her grandkids. I work for the feds and have a consistent schedule so I am happy to pay a flat rate every week regardless of how many hours I use bc I don't take a lot of vacation. the other 2 moms work for schools so they have more time off, which is why they are willing to guarantee a minimum weekly rate but don't want to be obligated to pay the full amount when they have the entire week off. The nanny is now making $650 a week for 2 kids. With 3 kids, she will range from the same min of $650 (when she has 1-2 kids) to a high of $870-900 a week (when she has all 3 kids full time).
