To clarify, my permanent residence is in DC. The family when together was Vienna. Dad moved to Dulles. Kids love in Vienna, so this is where I stay when working; On weekends (holidays), I go home to DC. I don't mind feeding the cat twice a week, but he required EVERYDAY. Their separation is that he continue to pay me so that's what it is. Again, our contract that all 3 of us sign.. Clearly states because of their job, I can expect 6 weeks off (doesn't include my vacation because I am readily avail to work, just not needed) because of travel, mom, dad being off etc. I make okay money but not much.. When the time comes, I'll just bring up our contract and what it states. He can even get a neighbor to feed the cat, but for me to be OFF and drive 2 hour RT just to feed the cat is not apart of my contract so id need my regular weekly pay and another fee to drive down there.
He's asking you to go to another work site to feed the cat? No. In this case, MB needs to run interference for you. If he has nothing to do with the children during the week, I'd argue that he is no longer your supervisor or boss in this arrangement. He is just providing the funds to MB. He's feeling used because of the divorce. If you're already underpaid, I'd expect this dynamic to get worse. Most people underestimate the real cost of running two households when they divorce. The person who isn't getting the "benefit" of the majority of the funds (even though he is, since he doesn't have to care for the kids) often starts to think it all costs too much.
