That is a lot of hours. -an MB[/quote] Of course we get overtime, but it isn't unusual for a nanny to work 10-12 hour days. Think about the type of people who employ nannies. Most of them are type A workaholics. They aren't working 8 hour days. So if the parents are working 9-10 hour days, nanny is working that + plus commute/traffic time. I work for a single mom who works 50 hour weeks, has some longer days, and sometimes has evening events. I adore her and her kid, but at the end of my shift I don't want to chit chat.[/quote]
