The only person who needs to consider anything is her. Why are her financial challenges anyone's concern but hers? She can't afford a nanny and has no business trying to hire one. There are childcare subsidies for low income workers, she could swap childcare with another shift worker, move closer to family, get another job that would allow her a more predictable schedule or more money to afford childcare, and so on. Her financial situation doesn't entitle her to a nanny any more than a nanny who works for a rich employer is entitled to a crazy above market rate. [/quote]
