This is my biggest pet peeve of online nanny employers. Getting sick does NOT make a nanny "bad"!! It's great that your nanny hasn't had to take a sick day, but that is not a measure of job performance. She's just lucky to have a great immune system. And it doesn't take any of the responsibility for backup care off your shoulders, should your nanny ever need a sick or personal day. [/quote]

Either you are blessed with a great immune system and should recognize that you are lucky, or you are spreading sickness in the workplace, to your charges and employers. If that's your arrangement and you and your boss are in agreement, that's fine for you. But it is not reasonable to expect others to live by that unusual standard. NY just passed a law that even minimum wage fast good employees are entitled to sick leave.[/quote]
