As for taking the day off, if you have only been there three weeks, it just doesn't look too good that you are already asking for a day off, even if it is unpaid. I understand your reasoning completely, but on her end, she may be wondering if this is going to be a habit in the long run.

I totally disagree w/her leaving her dishes around + expecting you to clean up after her!! That is not your job!! [b]You are the nanny, not the maid!![/b] As long as that was not agreed upon as your job duty upon hire, then she is way out of line here.

Anyway, bottom line is this job does not sound like a good match on many levels so I think it is best for you to seek a new family.
