If I here a text come in I do not look at it if I'm driving! If I pull to a stoplight, I'll look at the text. If I need to respond I will start, but certainly not finish while moving. I would never use any form of communication while driving, no talking, texting, Siri, etc., but I cannot imagine why reading and possibly responding to a text at a red light would be problematic, as long as you are still paying attention to what is going on around you.
