This is my current situation, and at my next job I will do only my job, but do it to the absolute best of my ability. I would hope a bonus would be given for excellent performance, above and beyond, within the scope of my actual job, not withheld for things that aren't my job. I would also negotiate raises based on expanding responsibilities related to my actual job, ie. dropping a nap means more activities to plan, potty training, more extensive meal planning and prep as kids age, etc. not because I started doing the parent's laundry in the hope they might notice and be grateful. I'm done buying into the household chores = above and beyond = raises/bonuses BS. I'll do my job excellently, and if that is not enough, its a problem with you, not me. [/quote]
