I'd feel differently if she was their regular nanny (which is similar to you pediatrician analogy) but she's not their nanny yet. She was just coming for an interview which could be easily rescheduled. It is somewhat convenient that OP is just adding this information now but I've been accused of doing that myself before when I was trying to make a post brief so I tend to believe OP in this case.
