Working with kids (regardless of how the child is feeling that day) IS the job of a nanny.

So, you want to judge a job based on a kid getting sick on the day of your interview.
Seriously?
You are way too precious to work with kids, OP. Try retail.
OP here
I'm judging the job based on the parent's complete lack of respect for my health and the health of my current charges (after she apologized the mother said the child had been throwing up all morning). Sick kids happen, I take care of my charges when they're sick, but I would have expected to at least be warned there was a sick child in the house. Especially since I watch infants.

Anonymous wrote:I just don't understand how kids older the three or four throw up without making it to the sink, garbage can, or toilet. I was 5 in church one time when I figured out I was going to be sick and ran to the bathroom. I threw up a little in my mouth before I made it to the toilet but I made it there.
If you're going to be sick, seek out a toilet or trash can. Not that hard.

My mom explained next time I got that feeling to go to the bathroom so I did. It happened whenever she made chili which was a lot at that time, not sure why. But not all kids know what is happening or they're woken out of a sound sleep and literally can't get to the bathroom in time. Every person is different.Anonymous wrote:I just don't understand how kids older the three or four throw up without making it to the sink, garbage can, or toilet.
