I am a nanny, and the lovely family I work for wanted to get a puppy. I was all for it, though I had no idea of the extra work, responsibility and mess that it was going to add. It's been around 7 months now, and I am tired. They have offered me nothing in return for feeding her, taking her for walks, cleaning up her poop and wee ( it's the last thing I wanted to be greater with at 7am in the morning. I am a school run nanny so I work from 7-9 and then 3-6:15. I look after two children who are at primary school so their homework is pretty intense and takes up a lot of attention whilst doing this I have a puppy running around and causing havoc as she is getting no attention. The childrens Dad is away a lot so the puppy only goes on long walks a few days a week. I feel very sorry for the dog which causes me added stress! Because of this stress I may show up early to work (unpaid) so walk her myself as it makes my life easier and the puppy happier. I am also training her, toilet and house! She is very stubborn and because she has not had the around the clock training a puppy needs she is still biting!!! Which does not help with the children, again it causes added strain. I have lost a number of clothing because she as jumped and bitten a hole in them, the parents are aware and have done or said nothing! They are sympathic but it just doesn't feel like enough. I am unhappy at the moment and only because of this puppy. Can anyone help me as the family our lovely and I want to continue working with them. Many thanks Kay
