That's ridiculous.  The mother paid the rate that was quoted.

We have tons of sitters available in our neighborhood (Montgomery County) in a range of 10-15 for teenagers and 13-20 for adults.   $12 is not an offensive rate - it's what the OP quoted.  The mother is not at fault.[/quote]
