Hi - I think it depends on if you are a salaried or hourly employee. If you are paid by the hour, to be paid a stat hol I think you would need to be normally scheduled to work that day and have worked your usual work days before and after the holiday (i.e. not been on vacation). If you are salaried it might be different, it may even be possible if a stat hol falls on a day you don't usually work they have to give you a different day off instead. But I am not an expert, I think the best thing is to google it / look on the goverment's website.[/quote]

I'm not a MB but I believe nannies can't legally be salaried.
