Exactly. I also don't get this idea of entitlement to have a nanny. Not everyone can afford one on one care, and the people providing the one on one care deserve a living wage. If you can't afford that, don't do your child or potential nanny the disservice. [/quote]

Exactly.   A lot of the rates that I see on ads on Craigslist that make me go "WTF" are not that far from rates that home daycare providers charge.   Often, the hours are even compatible with home daycare rates.   I think these people just want "one on one" care for their child, plus probably expect nanny to do cooking/cleaning/etc., plus don't want to have to transport the child/pack up diaper bags, etc. for the daycare.[/quote]
