Insulin resistance is caused by poor diet and exercise lifestyle choices. You should not just accept that you are fat because you have insulin resistance. In fact, IR is a serious sign that your inability to manage your diet, exercise and weight balance is seriously affecting your health. It does take more effort to get back to a healthy weight once you are obese BUT its even more important that you adopt the lifestyle choices to do it. This requires work and effort not just dieting or choosing the type of exercises that are easiest or even that you most enjoy. [/quote]
