Don't try to bring you baby. You will find many more available positions.
I can't imagine a nanny leaving behind her own newborn to take care of someone else's kids.
When you can find care for 30 hours a week, and pay a decent nanny to care for your child for $14/hr while you work for a higher paying family (due to more experience and schooling), where you can earn $22/hr, then why not? When you can have 6 hour days instead of 8-10 hour long ones, and can spend that extra time with your own child plus be earning almost a 1/3 more than what you are paying your nanny? Why not? How many people leave their kids with a nanny? How many people don't want to give up their own jobs when they have a child, even if they could get by easily without it? Do you tell teachers that they should just stay home with their kids, as they are going to work with other people's children as well? Maybe everyone should just stay home with their own kids? Maybe that chef who works at the restaurant you like should stay home and cook his own family dinner instead of having the mom or nanny do it? I can't believe he would go and cook someone else their dinner and not cook dinner for his own family!
