She's asking someone to work 3 hours a day in a schedule where they also can't work a regular 9-5 because of the 3pm start time. $35 x 3 is $105. If they're employing like they should be, sitter takes home about $87 per day x five days is $438 per week. Deduct a tank of gas and it's about $385 per week or $77 a day divided by 3 hours per day is $25.60 per hour and no ability to have a 9-5 job.[/quote]
