Op here. I think you’re right and I notice a difference between this job and the job where I am paid $25 an hour. For me it’s just the principle and no discussion or increase in pay. It’s so odd. This is a cash job though. There’s no way I would accept this rate if I paid taxes. It’s so little hours and with low pay I barely make $200 a week. I timed it yesterday and it took me 5 mins to wash the toddler bottles and another 10 to fold her clothes. If I don’t say anything now I will say something before I give notice. I have already told them I have college in August. They will need a nanny at some point soon and they won’t be able to keep one if they keep this up.
