While I think it is wrong to keep such a big announcement from you (considering how close you work alongside their child in their home!), many people tend to keep it to themselves until after the first trimester in case something could go wrong w/the pregnancy. All of my NFs have always told me as soon as they knew - probably because I worked so closely in their personal environment - which I have always appreciated. When if (God forbid?) something happened to your MomBoss & she needed immediate medical attention??
