You're jumping to a lot of conclusions. No parent laughs about not having childcare. Eventually they will get it, or they won't have jobs. Not everyone WFH everyday anymore. [/quote]

No eventually they’ll find a doormat willing to take the job. They don’t care if they cycle through people. They have a budget don’t care and won’t spend a dollar more even though they can afford to. After OP gave them a drawn out speech did they say she was right we can offer xyz? No they played dumb simply didn’t hire her and continued to still look for their doormat. [/quote]

I didn’t give them a drawn out speech. I told them I accepted a job that will guarantee my hours right away and that’s better for me. I also told them I would need to be paid a premium rate since I am using my own car and the hours are very little. They can do what they want with the information. Most parents wants the best for their kids. If they wfh they could have a revolving door but that’s not the case and they did get back to me and said my higher rate was okay. It’s very hard to find very PT care so I don’t think they will have a lot of people to choose from. I’m sure their 300k household income is okay paying extra to have consistent care so they can stay at work as late as they need to. Eventually they will get it but how long is takes them who knows. Not my problem anymore.
