Omg... I can't believe we are exactly in the same situation now.  I have been with this family for over a month;  a family with 3.  5 , 3 and a 8 months old. The two older kids are so rude to me;  disrespect me all the time and parents don't do anything;  even this it's in front of them.  They haven't how teach good manners all.  They never say "I'm sorry"  and even they are so rude and mean in front of them;  they don't correct them at all.  This is so dissapointing.  Even when I have talked to the parents about it;  the say " awww they are so tired"  " awww they don't know" "awww maybe they just need this thing this way or that way"  "awww never they were hungry" .  How sad and dissapointing I have found work for this family.  It's my very first time.. working with parents and kids with so good behavior and lack or manners.  They don't know the meaning of 'thank you" and please.   Very sad situation.  I gave already my 2 weeks of notice! [/quote]

Very good!! Two week notice is fine. And if they find a daycare spot without telling you which is horrible they need to give you 2 months notice or at least one month and post for you. In that case if they are ungrateful bosses I find a job on my own. Which I did sometimes. Always a good nanny will find a job. And hopefully a good family who will respect the nannies. They are like teachers, preparing the kids for school.[/quote]
