[/quote] You are wrong. She was clearly not on the average interview. An interview for a nanny is 60 min, maybe 90 minutes at most. If you are there for several hours, then you are doing a trial which also known as a working interview. If it's not a full day, then it's generally 4-5 hours long. These are always paid at whatever rate the nanny would be working at. It would be a combination of nanny talking with parents, playing with child, seeing the layout of the home and getting the rundown of the daily schedule, perhaps taking a walk outside with child (with or without parents) and then some time at the home with you left with the child while parents are elsewhere in the home. As this is considered work (training), you must legally be paid for your time.[/quote]
