I'm with APIA and there's a specific aupair I'd like to rematch with but she is not IQ qualified. I have a 7 yo and a 19 month old. I really don't need an IQ aupair and feel that this particular aupair is more than qualified to do the job. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to host a non-IQ qualified aupair if one of my children is under 2/. Or am I restricted? Alternatively, the woman I'd like to rematch with actually does have some infant experience. But she got the experience after creating her APIA profile and before traveling to the U.S....so it isn't reflected. Can aupairs alter their profiles to get an IQ status if they acquire new experiences since first creating their profiles on the portal?
Nope, absolutely not. Also, how did she get enough experience to be IQ between creating her profile and coming? 200 hours is a lot for someone that young. Even if they did it for 10 hour days, that’s still 20 days of work, and all of it has to be verifiable as with newborn to 23 months.
