I’m feeling confused.. with the pandemic going on, children having to do distant learning this year, having to work with parents in the home, not being able to go to activities/outside and requiring nanny to drive to keep you safe why do parents still feel the need to be cheap? Anyone wanting/needing childcare today should be paying a premium not trying to be cheap, Or think prices have stayed the same. Nannies please make sure you are charging more for your services and not 18/20$ for 1 baby 20/22$ for a share!
Just statistically, there are fewer families that are able (let alone willing) pay higher rates. More people are struggling today, not fewer. So please understand that when you argue for higher rates for nannies, you effectively argue for fewer nanny jobs. That's not to say you deserve more or less, that's not for me to say. It's just how the market works.
