I think it’s fine either way to give her some reaources with examples of what you’d like to see them working on but it’s always helpful to be clear in your own mind about all the possible outcomes that would work for you. It sounds like you would be fine giving her a packet of stuff to work on each week but also fine if she wanted you to order a specific kind of workbook or if she just put together some ideas of her own to do.
