My children were exposed to television a long time before they turned two years of age. They all are college-educated, have successful careers & have no health issues. They did well intellectually, socially as kids and never had any discipline issues. I do not understand how being exposed to T.V. at such a young age can damage a child.....????
You can’t prove a negative, PP. You have no idea how much better off they would have been had you avoided screens until after 2 and then limited exposure. I don’t think that the AAP’s recommendations are put in place for no reason. Just google it. The research for screen-avoidance is compelling. And no, OP. As a nanny I never allow screens when I’m working. I don’t even know how to turn the TV on!
