We were so discouraged with our CCAP experience this year that we left the program after we put our last AP in rematch. Sure enough, her transition document is all completely inaccurate. Same as the PPs. Safety and neglect issues. Failure to show up for work and failure to supervise kids while on duty. No desire to work at all, really. She told us when she got here, that she wanted off on evenings, weekends, and for at least 6 hours during the day so she could find a good university and take classes. And then she didn't show up when we did schedule her. This resulted in my kids not getting picked up at the bus stop, and one kid being left alone for several hours unattended. When we approached LCC and PD about this, and even had support meetings everything was our fault (we didn't give her enough direction, we didn't communicate effectively, we weren't clear on our expectations). It got to the point that I was putting together checklists and daily schedules that broke down her responsibilities and chores literally hour by hour, and the ones I knew she wouldn't want to do I even highlighted in yellow. Like daily 3 page schedules with highlights in yellow. Did she do them? No. Did she even show up some of those days? No. But in her transition document it says "AP struggled with communications with host family and their expectations." Seriously? I could not have been any more clear!
