"Full time" -- 9 hrs a day, 5 days a week, 2 older kids (8 and 12) who primarily need to be driven places, taken to the pool, etc. Do you pay based on an hourly rate? Or is a weekly rate more common?
I would base it on an hourly rate and think you could find someone for $15-$18 an hour. You could pay weekly though and I would guarantee the hours. So 40 hours would be $600. I would pay this even if one week you don't need her on a certain day or you come home early sometimes.
