We wants to hire nanny , we live in VA .We don’t want to inform nanny about camera . Is it legal?
No, it is not legal in my state - you would need to check Virginia law on sound and image. But why would you want to not inform an employee that he/she is being recorded?
It is legal in EVERY STATE. Stores have CCTV's. Its deceptive nannies like you that give all of us a bad name.
Stores in California don’t have cameras with sound unless they have a sign saying they are monitored. I am not a nanny, so your bad name is all your own. Our nanny, who is amazing, requested cameras in our home.
The majority of workplaces and homes now have cameras. I cannot think of one place in the past 20+ years I've worked where we don't have camera's. We have them in our home. Its nice to make sure things are ok, especially when I'm home alone and hear a bump in another part of the house or to monitor the kids.
