As others have said, there’s no sick days offered with the second family. That means that every time this kid gets you sick, your pay will suffer if you need to take a day or two off. That’s wrong.

Also, the second job gives you the minimum hours, with the possibility for more. I feel like if you agree to that (even though at the moment it’s only 1-2 hours extra), they’ll try to push that into more and more unplanned hours.

The few extra dollars an hour and a sleep trained baby aren’t worth the crammed vacations and you being shorted once their child gets you sick. Unfair. [/quote]
