Want to know what to expect, as I have never done rematch before - how does it work? Does the current au pair stay here until we find someone new? Do we tell her we are trying to rematch or do I not tell her until we find someone new? I can't imagine telling her we want to rematch and then trusting her to watch my kids while we find a new person. That seems like a bad situation. But I work, and I have no annual leave to take, so absolutely need a caregiver. Are the various agencies good about the rematching process or are they jerks about it?
What's your backup plan? Most rematches take longer than 2 weeks to find someone new, especially now if you are with CCAP, and are less then desirable. Have you had a mediation meeting or tried working on the situation? Or is it a emergency thing? You usually have 2 weeks to each find a new family. After that two weeks, the AP either goes to a new family or home. You are usually SOL after that. You usually cannot search/Match with another until you have the exit meeting with your counselor. She should be telling this. Have you contacted her at all?
