She (the nanny) knows that we (MB and DB) don't make a ton of money but have prioritized spending our money on a nanny because we think the job she's doing is super important.  I want to treat her fairly and show her how appreciated she is, but I also don't want her to feel awkward about how much we've spent, so I don't want to go overboard.[/quote]
