[quote=Anonymous]I had my one year review with my nanny family last Wednesday. MB and DB kept commenting on how impressed they are with my care of the children as well as staying on top of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and errands, and they specifically mentioned several things I do above and beyond the duties listed in our contract, which I appreciated that they acknowledged. They did not mention anything they wanted me to work on or do differently. I asked for a 50 cent per hour raise. DB said it was a reasonable request, and based on my performance I absolutely deserve it. MB said she needed to go over the finances before they can agree to the raise. I said of course, I understand. That was last Wednesday. On Friday they paid me my normal amount (no raise) and said nothing about it. I told myself it hadn't quite been 48 hours, give her a chance to sort it out... But now it's Monday afternoon and still no answer. How long is a reasonable amount of time to give them to consider my request? At what point do I ask for an update? I purposely asked for a small raise because I wanted it to be an easy thing to agree to. I know they are very well off and this would be a drop in the bucket for them. I work my butt off for them (which it sounds like they are aware of), and I am frustrated that they are making me wait so long (5 days now) for a response. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
