Even if she doesn't have the receipt, the store may be able to look up the order if she paid via credit card. Even if you can't return them, MB may realize her mistake and still give you money towards a pair of the sandals you prefer.

Of course, that's going to be an awkward talk. If she's a reasonable person in general it's probably nothing to worry about, but if she isn't, or is prone to taking things personally, or being dramatic, then it may not be worth bringing up. [/quote]
