I do remember hearing that if a baby drinks too much fluoridated tap water, it can lead to spots on their teeth. If that is the case, I would rather hold off on giving DD tap water until she is a little older. Plus, I hear that topical fluoride, i.e., toothpaste, is much better for our teeth than ingesting it while being less likely to cause health problems (if at all) because you spit it out. At 18 months, she's still too young for regular toothpaste so that will have to wait, too. And you're right, nanny had no idea the water was for DD! [/quote]
