This is only partly true, care.com gives you the option to be able to contact the family directly. If you choose to apply via care.com, you pay nothing. If you can directly contact a family you may get ahead of all the applications going by way of care.com. I am not a care rep and I just sent an application at no cost.

You're incorrect. Some states are using a " token" system and others are given 8 free application a month. If you want to apply to anything over that, you have to upgrade. What sucks is they used to offer a free basic background check with their membership but now you have to pay $60-80 for one. This site is a huge ripoff. [/quote]

Then it looks like Care.com does not work for you. I am thinking this is an agency, they are great at degrading online services. And FYI I send several apps a week and pay nothing, actually families find me.[/quote]
