I'm in SF too, and teachers make SH*T here. My DD went to Grattan and is now in public charter for middle school. We watch as teacher after teacher leaves either the area or the profession. And if you don't have rent control that started like five years ago, you're screwed. I'm in SoMa and live in the crummiest rundown apartment building. Studios in here are going for $2200. And that's considered "good"! I feel for you. You need to get a nannying job with the Marina, Pac Heights, Nob Hill crowd. Even Noe Valley people are struggling.[/quote]
